Crockpot Beer Cheese Soup

Beer SoupMy wife and I love Beer Cheese Soup. It’s totally a must order when we find it on a restaurant menu. It has to rank up there in the best soups ever. So naturally, I started the quest to create a Crockpot Beer Cheese Soup that I could make at home, so I hit the internet.  We know how much we LOVE our crockpots.

This here Crockpot Beer Cheese Soup is perfect for gatherings as well. Instead of having the usual chips and dip appetizers, I present a crockpot full of the delicious soup to sip on. I highly recommend serving this soup up with some big ole’ pretzel buns for dunking. Better yet, if you can find pretzel soup bowls to serve this in, HELLO AMAZING!

 

Ingredients:

  • Crock Pot32 oz chicken broth ( or veggie broth to make vegetarian friendly)
  • 12 oz Tuckerman Pale Ale
  • 1 cup of carrots, finely diced or shredded
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely diced
  • 1 cup onion finely diced
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

A Mimosa Is Not Just For Sunday Mornings

6oz Titanium Toasting GlassThe classic mimosa is equal parts orange juice and Champagne. Served in the 6oz Titanium Toasting Glass. Priceless!! In this cocktail recipe, pineapple juice and grenadine add a twist of flavor and color.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups orange juice (not from concentrate) $
  • 1 cup pineapple juice, chilled $
  • 2 tablespoons grenadine
  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled*

Preparation

  • Stir together first 3 ingredients.
  • Pour equal parts orange juice mixture and Champagne into Champagne flutes.2 (12-oz.) cans
  • ginger ale or lemon-lime soda may be substituted.

January is Officially Soup Month

Fridays are always a good time to circle the wagons to catch up with staff, talk about the week and to focus on upcoming events. Office lunch in our D26 Blue Chowder Mug was a perfect fit. What better than a crock pot full of beef stew.
I started with a 1¾ chuck steak, out of the grinder. I salted it with some pink salt I bought for the wife as a Christmas gift (I know how fun right?) cubed, browned and started it in the bottom of the crock.
In went…

  • soup in D26 blue chowder mug One huge leek diced and rinsed.
  • 2 medium onions quartered.
  • 5 big carrots diced, halved at the big end.
  • 4 stocks of celery, which were like 14-15” long, tops and all.
  • 10 cloves of garlic minced.
  • Couple quarts of beef stock.

Set on high for about 5 hours.Right when the wallpaper in our office started peeling and smelling like garlic and leeks, it was time for me to burn my mouth.
